After three months of inspiring workshops, training, and masterclasses on impact production, EngageMedia’s first Video for Change Environmental Impact Lab has officially come to an end. Under the mentorship of three experienced impact producers and guest speakers, four video initiatives completed the Impact Lab with more impact production skills and knowledge to advance the impact campaigns of their video initiatives.
To commemorate International Seed Day, Cinemata, Freedom Film Network, and the Malaysian Food Security and Sovereignty Forum have curated a video playlist of six films on seed saving and its connection to the farmers’ struggles in Southeast Asia. The full playlist will be available for viewing from April 23 to 26, 2021. After this date, only select films will remain on Cinemata.
The Video for Change Environmental Impact Lab is back for its second edition (and an extended deadline)! EngageMedia is once again calling on Asia-Pacific filmmakers documenting environmental issues to apply to the Environmental Impact Lab, which seeks to strengthen the capacity of filmmakers to create impact with their work.
The three-month Environmental Impact Lab with our five Asia-Pacific film initiatives and three impact producers has approached the halfway mark! Together with guest mentors and members of the EngageMedia team, the Impact Lab participants continue to learn how to better design their impact campaigns.
EngageMedia kicked off the first session of its Video for Change Environmental Impact Lab, a series of masterclasses on impact production for Asia-Pacific filmmakers working on environmental video initiatives.
Impact producers Hollie Fifer, Lina Srivastava, and Dina Purita Antonio-Jufri will serve as mentors for the first Video for Change Environmental Impact Lab. Their combined experience in impact production and excellent networks in the Asia-Pacific will guide the participants in ensuring their environmental video initiatives create more impact.
EngageMedia shared at Media Burn’s “Virtual Talks with Video Activists” its experience in using video, open technology, and impact production to support regional movements and raise awareness on social and environmental issues in the Asia-Pacific.
