DRAPAC23 Assembly: Highlights and ways forward

Last May 22-26, 544 participants from 35 countries convened in Chiang Mai, Thailand, for the Digital Rights Asia-Pacific Assembly, which provided a vibrant and inclusive space for networking, learning, collaboration.

Research: Digital Security and Human Rights Defenders in the Asia-Pacific

In collaboration with the Asia Centre, the Digital Security and Human Rights Defenders in the Asia-Pacific research project aims to map digital surveillance activities and identify the gaps and levels of prioritisation in adopting counter-surveillance technology and secure communications by civil society.

Asia-Pacific Digital Rights Forum

EngageMedia will kick off the year 2023 with the Asia-Pacific Digital Rights Forum, a three-day regional forum that will create online and physical spaces for changemakers to further discuss and collaborate on solutions to the region’s most pressing digital rights issues today. The three-day regional forum on January 12 to 14, 2023, is the second group of events leading up to the Asia-Pacific Digital Rights Festival in Chiang Mai, Thailand, in May 2023.
