Cinemata partners with ‘Sineminuto’ Short Film Festival

  • 31 May 2023
  • 11:00 am

Cinemata is one of the official media partners for ‘Sineminuto: Buhayin at lakbayin, pelikulang atin! (Revive and Wander, The Films of Our Own)’, a short film festival for Filipino student films. The event is organised by the Film Aficionados Circle (FILAC), the official film organisation of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines’ College of Communication in Manila.

The competition aims to provide a valuable platform for the mentees of FILAC, allowing them to showcase their unique talents and creativity. Sineminuto will serve as the culminating activity in the students’ filmmaking journey, enabling participants to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired through the Pelikulearn 3 course and give life to their stories on screen.

FILAC and Cinemata invite everyone to support the event and collectively explore the rich tapestry of stories within the films. Watch the nine official entries in this year’s Sineminuto festival and the awarding ceremony at Cinematheque Centre Manila on June 2, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Seats are limited. For those who are interested to watch, please message Film Aficionados Circle’s official Facebook page.
