March 29, 2007 from 12:30 PM to 12:30 PM
Digital Harbour Theatrette, Ground Floor, The Innovation Building
Greg Dee, General Manager of Channel 31, will discuss a new internet project for community television producers in Melbourne.
He will be joined by Anna Helme, Co-Founder of EngageMedia, who is collaborating with OPEN CHANNEL creating a focused community of screen practitioners as an alternative to multi-communal sites such as YouTube and MySpace. It’s about creating a space for critical documentary, fiction, artistic and experimental works that challenge the one-way communication model of the mainstream media.
FRAMED is a FREE monthly lunchtime event series presented by OPEN CHANNEL, Australian Film Television Radio School (AFTRS) and Digital Harbour.
