In line with the international celebration of World Internet Day, EngageMedia on October 30 launched Tech Tales: Films about Digital Rights in the Asia-Pacific, a collection of eight films that highlight human rights stories in the digital age.
For the month of June, Cinemata is hosting the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ Pride and Independence screenings that celebrate both Pride Month and the month of the Philippines’ Independence Day.
To commemorate International Seed Day, Cinemata, Freedom Film Network, and the Malaysian Food Security and Sovereignty Forum have curated a video playlist of six films on seed saving and its connection to the farmers’ struggles in Southeast Asia. The full playlist will be available for viewing from April 23 to 26, 2021. After this date, only select films will remain on Cinemata.
